The Art
I’m Sanjana, an Indian illustrator and designer residing in Chennai. My paintings are rooted in a profound sense of nostalgia and memories, drawing inspiration from the world around me. They are characterized by warm colors, bold impressions, and vintage elements that evoke a timeless connection to the past while celebrating the beauty of the present.
Indian motifs are a central feature in my work, symbolizing a range of emotions and moments. My travels also play a significant role in my inspiration, infusing my art with the people, landscapes, food, and architecture I encounter. Influenced by artists like Gustav Klimt, Henri Matisse, and Amrita Shergil, my style blends Fauvism with Modern Indian art.
